Are MKChecks a tool to promote my Mary Kay business? And if so, how does it work?

MKChecks feature the Mary Kay® logo and images of great Mary Kay® products. Each time you write a check, you promote your Mary Kay business to everyone who handles the check. The checks are personalized with your contact information, and anyone receiving the check can easily contact you about your Mary Kay business. Please note that MKChecks are available for U.S. bank accounts only. First-time orders require additional information for security purposes.

What if I have a problem with my order once I receive it?

To return or exchange a Sample Organizer or Beauty Coat, refer to the packing slip included in your order and follow the instructions for returning the item. The packing slip also includes a return address label. The Wheeled Cosmetic Carrier, Slip-On Color Case, Roll-Away Tote and Accessory bag will not include a packing slip but should be returned to:

What can I print on my business cards, checks and stationery products?

You may print your name, your Mary Kay-approved title and contact information only. Other company names, titles not approved by Mary Kay and any non-Mary Kay type verbiage are prohibited.

How long does it take to receive my items?

Please allow 13 - 16 business days for Standard delivery to U.S. addresses. Magnetic items may take 2-4 weeks. Items may be shipped separately. Expedited delivery is available on selected items.

Why can't I make my own cards or add other things to my cards?

The Mary Kay image is very important to every member of the Mary Kay sales force. Every MKConnections® business card style is designed to project the Mary Kay image that is so respected in the marketplace.

The business card is the first point of contact a potential customer or team member has with Mary Kay in many cases. It's critical that this first impression is a favorable one. Business cards printed by unlicensed print shops may not always properly reproduce the Mary Kay® logo. Additional information printed on the card may create confusion for potential team members and customers.

The business cards provided by MKConnections® are priced very competitively, a variety of styles are available, and ordering is easy.

Why am I having trouble shipping my order to a P.O. Box?

While many products may be shipped to a P.O. Box, heavier products are delivered by UPS and require a physical address for delivery. You will be prompted for a physical address on products delivered by UPS.

Can I use any photo?

You should use a professional headshot photograph. All Mary Kay Inc.(c) photographers allow for reproduction of their photography for the purpose of use on the MK photo card. The possibility of copyright infringement requires that you warrant you have the right to reproduce any other photograph. If you are not sure you have the right, contact the photographer who took the picture. If you do not have a professionally taken photograph, you may submit a personal photo which portrays you as the center focus in a professional, business appropriate setting. Be sure the photo has good resolution, lighting, and contrast. Avoid photos that are out of focus or hazy, dark, or overly cropped. MKConnections reserves the right to reject orders submitted with unprofessional and/or poor quality photos.

Can I get multiple pictures on my cards?

No. At this time only one photo can be printed for each card order. If you wish to use multiple pictures, you will need to place multiple orders and complete the check out process for each.

Can I adjust my photo in any way?

We have an innovative, interactive tool that enables you to crop and position your photo, within the photo window, as you prefer. When you crop and position your photo, double check that the photo is positioned and sized as you wish it to appear.

Can I supply a disk with the photo or the actual photo I would like to have printed?

No. At this time, we cannot accept any photo prints, disks, cartridges or any other electronic media. You may submit your order through our interactive Website only.

Will you touch-up my photo?

No. We do not touch-up or manipulate the photo in any way. If there are flaws in the original photo they will also show in the reproduction. Be Careful to select a high quality photo.

Why won't my photo upload?

Your photo may not upload for the following reasons:

  • Your connection to the internet has failed. Please close your browser, reconnect and try again.
  • The file format is incorrect. The formats allowed for photo products are BMP, JPEG, JPG, and TIFF.
  • File size is too large or too small. Files must be 4 MB or smaller.
  • Personal firewall software is preventing you from viewing the product preview.

What does the file format notice mean?

In saving your scanned or digital photographs, you will have file format options. Only the following formats may be submitted with your online order for photo business cards:

  • BMP (.bmp) – standard Windows image format on Windows-compatible computers.
  • JPEG (.jpg) – Joint Photographic Experts Group ; commonly used to display photo images over the Internet.
  • JPG (.jpg) – the Windows version of JPEG.
  • TIFF (.tif) – Tagged-Image File Format; mainly used for exchanging documents between different applications and different computer platforms. Exact details on which format might work best for your computer's operating system and/or imaging software, please refer to your scanner manual, digital camera manual or your computer operating system manual.

What are the requirements for photo size?

Photo Width: between 265 and 4064 pixels Photo height: between 450 and 2704 pixels Photo files size cannot exceed 4MB.

What is a pixel?

Pixels are the building blocks for every digital image. Higher pixel amounts in a digital photo signify a higher resolution photo, resulting in better photo business card results.

What is resolution?

Digital image resolution is the size of your image, measured in pixels. Images that are higher in resolution will result in a better product, while those images with a lower resolution may result in poor print quality and may appear fuzzy and indistinct.

What is contrast?

Contrast is the difference between the lightest and darkest areas in a scene and/or photograph.

Why was the 2D barcode option discontinued?

Microsoft, who was the provider for the 2D Barcode service, has provided notice of termination of this service. All services will be fully discontinued beginning August 20, 2015. We chose to discontinue marketing the service while investigating other providers and services. We apologize for any inconvenience.
